I seriously doubt that is what's causing the lack in performance. what are some legitimate ways to speed up my macbook and for the love of steve jobs dont tell me to get a pc. but i'm looking and the 600Gb used are mostly documents, photos, and some music. I thought about just Copying the whole drive over to an external and factory reseting it. I'd like to keep it after I upgrade but I don't particulary want a paper weight. and if so is there anything I can do to restore some life into this thing. Is all this due to old age, outdates parts, both?. apps are also slow as well as response times for commands. in other words I can only use it for around an hour and a half off the charger. as in, I'm writing on it currently, however, It is SLOW! it may just be outdated but the boot up for off to on or reset can take 15 min! The battery just melts when not plugged in, draining at around 10% for every 6-8 minutes. but I may decide to go with a 16 inch since I like the specs more (downside being I hate large laptops and really like the 13" size)ĪNYWAYS, all that aside.
