This is even the case with the shysters at mitchels Mausers." Yep, maby a bit strong, BUT on the other hand as I said, what don't you understand about - " Bogus/changed nrs will almost never be found on receivers or bbls, only on the other parts. I am going to see if I can get it removed. The only thing I don't like about it is that for some reason, I was told that it was a law, they had to cut an identification line into the exterior of the barrel. Just a great shooting, and fun rifle to shoot! Hit a ram metal target at 200 yards 4 out of 5 times. It shoots like a champ, very, very accurate! When US rifles were recovered from battlefields or were evacuated with the wounded the rifle eventually made its way to an ordinance company where the rifles were completely striped and all like parts were thrown into bins and cleaned, examined, and if need be replaced. Even the good old USA does, so everything matching may in fact be very difficult on any rifle that was in service for many years. Most armies recondition their firearms from time to time. So basically your first post does not say shit about Mitchell Mausers! Read what I said above about mitchels Mausers! What about that don't you understand?
